Curveball

We had an appointment with our reproductive specialist last week to discuss our failed in vitro cycle.  We were hoping that from this failed atttempt that maybe, just maybe, they had found the reason as to why we can't conceive.  Unfortunately those prayers weren't answered and our specialist adamantly insists that we WILL get pregnant.  As long as we keep trying, we WILL get pregnant.  Of course we are happy to have a confident doctor, but its almost annoying to have someone keep telling you that it will happen, it will happen---then it doesn't.  Obviously, God has a bigger plan for us than we have for ourselves.  We are just trying to succumb to whatever that plan is, and to let go of control over the situation.  I think we are finally to that point of "whatever happens, happens-- we can't control it."  We are just excited beyond measure, to finally be parents.
We are sticking with the adoption plan.  We have found another non-profit agency in Kansas City that we are going to use along with the non-profit agency in Manhattan.  Hopefully between the two, we will find a birth mother that wants us to parent her child.
Continued prayers are appreciated!

  1. Hi Kari it's Rebecca from BBC. Great blog. I know how you feel.......my DR keeps telling me the same thing. It's just a matter of time before it happens. These words are so hard when there is so much uncertainty. Hugs! And GL with adoption!
