Christmas Time!

It's that time of year again.... time for gifts, decorating, baking/cooking, Christmas cards, time with family, and most importantly, the celebration of Jesus' birthday.  I love Christmas time and all of the things that go with it.  This year, we have another thing to celebrate-- the fact that we are officially on the waiting list for a beautiful baby to join our family.  

Our home study will be typed and made available to us by the end of this coming week.  At that point in time, we will be completely finished with all of the paperwork and financial obligation for the time-being.  Any day now could be the most important day of our lives thus far.  The day that some wonderful woman decides that we are THE family for her baby.  We can't wait to meet the woman that will forever change our lives.  

We have been watching Christmas movies and fantasizing about what next Christmas will be like when we have our baby to share this time of year with.  We are HOPING and PRAYING that its in God's will that our child is with us by then.  I have already begun looking for a stocking to match ours, and will have a special ornament made just for our little one, as soon as we know when he or she will join us.  This is all becoming so real!  Travis and I have a few names for a boy and a girl picked out.  We won't choose the official name until the baby is born and we are able to meet him or her. 

We ask this holiday season, that you all keep us in mind if you know someone or meet someone that is interested in placing their child for adoption.  Even if you know someone who isn't sure.  Please give them our contact information or even point them to this website so they can get to know a little bit about us.  We would love the opportunity to see if we are the type of family she has in mind for her child.

The hustle and bustle of the season is so great to take our minds off of the wait, but the seasonal traditions are a great reminder of how wonderful our future Christmases will be when we are sharing it with our child.
